How do you deal with uncertainty?

Ahhhh, this question hits home today as I sit here in the midst of actively waiting and wading in uncertainty.
Lack of clarity can perhaps be comforting sometimes…but…let’s face it, more often it can cause us to feel restless, unsure, uneasy and even anxious.
When the anxiousness and uneasiness creeps in we can either collapse into emotion or we can cling to Christ.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
~Philippians 4:7-8
Now, I’m not saying that showing emotion is wrong! We are allowed to express ourselves and be human – but if our emotions begin to spiral we can lose sight of important truths.
I came across this quote last night and thought, ‘what a great perspective’:
When you’re in a dark place, you sometimes tend to think you’ve been buried. Perhaps you’ve been planted.
~Christine Caine
Bloom right where you are planted and grow. it may feel uncertain, but rest in His strength, not your own.
Take comfort in His most certain care for you and remember He is the Great Physician.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
~Psalm 147:3
Think about this – a wise pastor once said:
Peace is not the absence of trouble. It is the presence of Christ in the midst of that trouble!

You know, I was in the process of answering this prompt in a post of my own. But then when I was halfway done I realized it was only 2 sentences long. And I deleted it. But what I was going to post was
“ That’s an easy answer. In times of uncertainty I stand on my faith and I lean onto Christ.”
I deleted it because most of the posts I read are somewhat long and detailed. I backed out and scrolled down and came across this. You put it into perfect words!
