Are you a lifelong learner?

I love this question!

The answer is, an emphatic YES!!!!

Everyone…..everyone – is a lifelong learner!

Our society & culture have been dominated by government run, institutional style teaching systems such as public schools, private schools, colleges, etc.

While these institutions serve a purpose to an extent, they can imply learning ‘begins’ & ‘ends’ at certain times, and only certain things can be learned at certain ages. But, we do not stop learning after age 18 or on the day we “graduate with a degree.” Nor do we begin learning our first day of “kindergarten.”

The truth is God created us in His image and one can say we are learning even before birth.

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.” ~Psalm 139:13

Again, we certainly do not stop learning once we are finished with ‘schooling.’ We are constantly taking in information, analyzing it, forming opinions and thoughts, creating art, taking in the beauty of God’s creation and growing.

We are learning throughout life, gaining knowledge & wisdom. As Christians, we are growing to become more like Christ!

“An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” ~ Proverbs 18:15

So be encouraged, enJOY life, seek out knowledge & wisdom and remember, it is never too late to learn & grow!
