You get some great, amazingly fantastic news. What’s the first thing you do?

What is your prayer life like? My prayer life has much room for wisdom, understanding & growth. As Christians we are always growing to be more like Jesus Christ.
This morning, my daughter shared that she can struggle with prayer…but she shared how last night, she “yapped & yapped” to God as she fell asleep. This made me smile – she was quite literally talking to God and sharing her good news with Him..so sweet.
In Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus gives us a prayer and I hope you will focus on the first two words for a few minutes.
OUR FATHER
How beautiful is this? Do you recognize it? Sometimes (especially in our fast-paced culture) we can read something and miss the beautiful simplicity – the wisdom in it.
He is our father. Pause & reflect on that!
Remembering this is so important! This can ease our anxieties. He is intimate & personal. He allows us to call Him father.
Sometimes, when we have had an earthly father who has hurt us it can be harder to understand just how amazing this is. This is when we can cling to God’s truths & promises!
He is good
He loves us
He will never leave nor forsake us
He is our refuge
He is our hiding place
He is merciful
He cares for us
And there are so many more… Remember, dear Christian, He has adopted YOU.
So when we pray, let us remember that He is our father and wants us to “yap” to Him, to share our “amazingly fantastic news” with Him…to share our fears, concerns – and everything with Him.
Remember (and I need all of these reminders too) go to the Lord first in all things, acknowledge Him, praise Him, thank Him, talk to Him…share all of your news with Him., talk to Him.🤍
