What is your favorite quote?

There are far too many quotes from amazing men & women out there – I can’t narrow it down to just one favorite quote!
There are so many encouraging ones filled with wisdom that I could share here….however, one does stand out though this morning from the Word of God:
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
~ Hebrews 4:15-16
The above quote fills me with much encouragement and comfort. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I can fall into the temptation to think that God does not understand, does not sympathize and does not care. When we think wrong things about God, it can leave us feeling despair & sadness.
BUT thankfully, we are told to test our feelings and thoughts against the Word of God to know whether we are thinking rightly or falsely:
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
~2 Timothy 3:16
Clearly from the Hebrews 4:15-16 quote above we can find solace and rest in knowing that, yes, God sympathizes with our weaknesses…and not only that, He then commands us in a profound, most encouraging way, to draw near to His throne of grace to receive mercy & grace!!
What a loving, comforting, gracious God we serve. I hope this encourages you today as you go about your day!
