What are you curious about?
There are so many things to be curious about! We are “curious creatures!”
God is our creator and we are His creation. He is the All Powerful, All Knowing, Artist & Creator – and He is the great I Am. He is magnificent and has given us an endless supply of things to study about.
But…there is one on my list of things that stands out, and should be given top priority. It is a very interesting, good curiosity to have….it is to know God through His Son Jesus Christ.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
~Matthew 6:33
There is nothing else more important or more “curious worthy” than this! The way we get to satisfy this curiosity is to read His Words and through prayer.
But what if you are not curious about who God is? Or maybe a little curious, but you’d rather think about many other things? Well, go to Him in prayer, asking Him to give you a desire to know Him!
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul:
the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever:
the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold:
sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them is thy servant warned:
and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Who can understand his errors?
cleanse thou me from secret faults.
Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins;
let them not have dominion over me:
then shall I be upright,
and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight,
O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
~Psalm 19:7-14
