Acts of Self-Control

What is something others do that sparks your admiration?

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. ~Galatians 5:22-23

When someone shows self-control, I am humbled and admire their patience, calm demeanor and ability to control their tongue.

It is something I try not to take lightly and definitely should not flippantly ignore…These acts of great character should be acknowledged and imitated.

It can be “easier”, in our flesh, to have an emotional outburst. Thankfully, as we grow in our Christian journey, and all glory to God, we are able to have less outbursts and show more fruit.

When you show the fruits of the Holy Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) it is a balm to our soul and glorifies our Father in heaven!

It is truly something to admire & pray for!

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. ~Ephesians 4:21-24
