Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?

Can a Season be considered a place?
I say yes. Perhaps a twist, but I say it is in fact a place – a bit of a metaphor, a place in time…the annual trip around the sun, going through the places of each unique season.
I have visited them all, multiple times…and each time I can appreciate the particular, beautiful qualities of each.
I recall visiting the cold weather of Spring – it slowing down and greeting the warmer weather, revealing the beauty of extraordinary blooms and greenery after a stark & barren Winter. Truly a metamorphosis.
I recall visiting the warmth, brightness and heat of Summer, wearing flip flops and experiencing the freedom of the ability to easily run outside without a need for a coat or warm attire.
I remember, going to see Autumn – a relief after the intense heat of Summer, and feeling joy at the anticipation of it’s colorful leaves, Thanksgiving and more…smelling the smell of approaching cold weather and hearing the sound of geese traveling South.
I remember Winter and visiting it’s beautiful snowfall through my window, watching it fall as I sit surrounded by the glow and sparkle of lights.
Yes, Seasons are a place! All of the Seasons bring their own joy.
For now, my favorite place I have visited is Autumn.
What is yours?
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”
~Ecclesiastes 3:1
