The Most Successful Man

When you think of the word “successful,” who’s the first person that comes to mind and why?

The most successful man I know is Jesus Christ.

It’s ironic in a way, because “at face value” many would scoff and laugh at this! They might mock & say:

“But He was so poor!”

“But He was hated by so many!”

“He died such a shameful death!”

“Jesus? There are so many other people…”

However, they couldn’t be more wrong. Jesus is the first person that comes to mind when I think of the word “successful”. Why?

~He successfully became man; He is God in the flesh.

~He successfully obeyed His Father.

~He successfully never sinned; He obeyed the moral law perfectly.

~He successfully showed compassion, love and healed many.

~He successfully died and took on the punishment we deserve.

~He successfully was resurrected from the dead.

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”
